Cavas Valmar Cabernet Sauvignon hails from two distinguished vineyards in Baja California, Mexico. Cañada Guadalupe in Valle de Guadalupe, a 13-year-old vineyard perched 350 meters above sea level 30 km from the coast, and Valle de Tecate, a 19-year-old vineyard at 540 meters elevation 65 km inland, each contribute their unique terroir to this exceptional wine.
This wine was fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, underwent malolactic fermentation, and aged in French oak barrels for 24 months before spending 36 months in the bottle. The result is a dark garnet-red wine with clean brilliance and medium-to-high aromatic intensity.
On the nose, ripe black fruits, spices, and tobacco dominate, with notes of maple, floral hints, vanilla, caramel, cocoa, and roasted coffee. The palate reveals a dry, full-bodied wine with present tannins and a velvety texture. Red fruits like cranberries lead, followed by spices and fine wood notes. Complex and beautifully balanced, it finishes long and lingering.
