Atanasio Añejo Tequila represents the art of traditional tequila craftsmanship. Rested for just 13 months in American white oak barrels, this small-batch expression preserves the pure agave character while gaining subtle complexity. Master Tequilero René Carranza oversees every step—from hand-selecting agaves matured 6-7 years for optimal sugar concentration, to slow distillation in stainless steel stills, to careful barrel aging that balances oak influence with the spirit's authentic origin.
Expect prominent flavors of sweet cooked agave, peppery oak, and vanilla. The production honors tradition: natural fermentation using local yeasts, single roller mill extraction, and composting of spent pulp. Each bottle is individually hand-labeled and sealed with Don Chico's signature, lot number, and vintage year—making your bottle truly one of a kind.
